Ravachel

Ravachel is a painter and engraver born in Paris in 1998.

She was introduced to metal engraving at the Beaux-Arts workshops of the Paris City Hall (ABA Paris) after discovering the works of Alfred Kubin when she was 15 years old. In 2023, she graduated with a DNSEP degree from the Beaux-Arts de Tourcoing (esä), during which she discovered the techniques of xylography and lithography while on an Erasmus exchange at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. In the same year, she trained as a typote (typographer in the feminine form) at the poetry publishing house Harpo &.

Her graphic universe, in engraving, is strongly influenced by German and Austrian expressionism, but also by more contemporary artists such as Jürg Kreienbühl, Stéphane Mandelbaum, Cécile Reims, and Olivier Deprez.

She is interested in the connections between the different media she works with: painting, typography, and engraving.

She published her first comic book, Au Suivant !, with Le Sabot in 2024 and illustrated Anselm Jappe's book Guy Debord, pensiero e vita, published by Mimésis in 2025.
