Impression on Japan paper, signed Ichikawa Chikashige hitsu on the left sheet.
Style and subject of the woodblock prints designed by Morikawa Chikashige remind us of his teacher Kunichika Toyohara. Most of Morikawa's prints show subjects from the kabuki theater.
Sheet: three ôban gathered in a tryptych (365 x 750 mm.)
Condition: time-staining in the edges, bright colors. Purple inking stain next to the frog.
