Fine impression on Japan paper with margins, signed Hiroshige hitsu, from the series Famous Sights of the Fifty-three Stations (Gojûsan tsugi meisho zue), also known as the Vertical Tôkaidô, published by Tsutaya Kichizô (Kôeidô). Censor's seals Aratame, Hare 7. 

Sheet: vertical ôban (364 x 242 mm)

Reference: a proof is preserved in the MFA of Boston. 

Condition: small binding holes left margin, right margin trimmed in the upper part, some stains in the sky.
