Fine impression on Japan paper, signed Hiroshige ga, from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tôkaidô Road (Tôkaidô gojûsan tsugi no uchi), also known as the First Tôkaidô or Great Tôkaidô, published by Takenouchi Magohachi and Tsuruya Kiemon. Censor's seal kiwame. On the reverse, stamp of the Bérès collection.

Sheet: ôban (251 x 372 mm)

Reference: a proof is preserved in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Condition: slight fold in the middle, otherwise in good condition.
